How to convert your images
Four quick steps.
Upload – click the upload box or drag your images into it. JPG, PNG and WebP are supported.
Choose a format – each image shows its detected format. Pick the one you want; the image's current format is greyed out.
Set the quality – for JPG and WebP, around 80–85% is a good balance of sharpness and file size.
Check and download – the new file size is shown for each image. Press Download to save your files.
💡Pro tip: start at 80% quality and adjust only if you notice any blur.
Which format should I choose?
Each format has a job. Here is the short version.
JPGPhotos, works everywhere
PNGLossless, keeps transparency
WebPSmaller files, keeps transparency
Wide supportChrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari
JPG is best for photographs and works everywhere, but it does not support transparency. PNG keeps every detail and supports transparency, which suits logos, screenshots and graphics, though files can be large. WebP usually gives smaller files than both at similar visual quality, so pages load faster. All current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari can display WebP.
Frequently asked questions
What happens to transparency when I convert to JPG?
JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas become white.
Does the quality slider affect PNG?
No. PNG is always lossless, so the slider only applies to JPG and WebP.
Can I convert many images at once?
Yes. Add as many files as you like, choose a format for each, and download them together.
